Weaving is both a fun and useful craft. You can weave rugs, blankets, table linens, shawls, curtains, scarves, fabric for clothing or upholstery, etc.
Your first class is an introduction to weaving with an emphasis on multi=harness looms. In this class you will prepare a table loom and weave a sampler on it. As you make the sampler you will learn the parts of a loom and their functions. Other topics include various weaving terms and tools. Other types of looms will also be demonstrated.
All tools and materials are provided for your first class. You will need to bring your own loom, yarn and tools for any subsequent classes you attend.
Following classes are done at your own pace with instructor assistance. Topics include reading a weaving draft; how to use a warping board; floating selvedges; double weave; overshot; etc. You select the topics you want to learn and the date. You don't need to worry about missing a class!
Register to reserve your spot by contacting Marilyn Ory either by phone or email at least 3 days before class. Due to the large amount of spam calls, please leave a voice message as Marilyn doesn't usually answer calls from numbers she doesn't recognize.Tell a Friend
