Davis, winner of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in history for his book The Gulf: The Making of an American Sea. Dr. Davis--a professor of history and the Rothman Family Chair in the Humanities at the University of Florida--will read and discuss excerpts from The Gulf, a book that the New York Times described as a “beautiful homage to a neglected sea” and “a cri de coeur about the Gulf’s environmental ruin.” The reading will be followed by an audience Q&A. Limited quantities of The Gulf signed by the author will be available for purchase through the Saint Leo University bookstore website; a link will be provided during the event.
