The Dade City Garden Club will be presenting “Molto Bene—A tour of the local food system in Southern Italy” at their January program meeting on Monday, January 28th at 9:30 am. Presented by Dr. Whitney Elmore, UF/IFAS Pasco County Extension Director, Dr. Elmore will take attendees with her as she explores vineyards perched atop volcanoes, ancient wineries hidden in towns, and lemons growing along the Amalfi Coast. She will highlight the inner workings of the region and its unique foods, Agriculture/Horticulture, and ties to the ancient world. Building on what she experienced in Italy, Dr. Elmore will introduce the audience to the exciting possibilities for the local food system in Pasco County. Open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
