Little Everglades Ranch Brings
International Combined Driving Equestrian Event
To Dade City For the First Time

Little Everglades Combined Driving Event Postcard
The rules of Combined Driving, one of the newest Equestrian sports, were created by Prince Phillip.   The first competition took place at the Royal Windsor Horse Games only forty years ago.  By equestrian standards, the sport is in its infancy but its popularity around the world has grown exponentially with the heart stopping Cross Country Marathon that draws crowds of spectators.  This portion of the 4-day competition features teams of horses pulling carriage and driver at breakneck speed toward twisting, turning obstacles with as many as six gates to navigate.  Both beautiful and breathtaking, this is a must see event for equestrian enthusiasts who travel hundreds or even thousands of miles to participate.

The International Little Everglades Combined Driving Event runs from January 28th  through the 31st and as a qualifying event for the upcoming FEI (International Equestrian Federation) World Games in Lexington, Kentucky it promises to attract some of the sport's top competitors.  The Little Everglades Ranch, a pristine 2000-acre conservation area and working ranch in scenic Northeast Pasco County has been transformed into a challenging course for competitors with unmatched visual charm for spectators.

The Cross Country Marathon on Saturday the 30th is the biggest draw for spectators.  A variety of options from a VIP catered tent party by Benedetto's to reserved covered seating all provide terrific views of the various obstacles along the course.  There is also plenty of food and fun for general admission ticket holders including the ever popular Jack Russell Terrier Races and some great shopping for equestrian items and souvenirs.
